Here's to Jim Miller who died this week of lung cancer at 59. Jim was a friend, a pilot and a fireman who saved lives in those smoking houses and buildings. So as tradition dictates I'm toasting you while looking west with a whiskey in one hand and that beer we had hoped to have together in the other. I remember the times of our younger days and so glad we connected again in our later days. Here's to you Jim on your Memorial Day. Bless you old friend bless you. And I think by Devine intervention folks should know that while here thinking of Jim a fire truck came blaring through behind me. Was that a sign? We'll have that beer yet in a Heaven Jimbo. Cheers! - Jack Benedetto

Jim's memorial sticker outside of Breakfast shack which was previously Flix. His regular breakfast spot for about 20 years now. He'll always be remembered.
Janet Kornberg Rogers:
What a lovely idea, Samantha. As the owner of Flix Cafe I can tell you that Jim was an important part of its history. He and I spent many an hour on slow days "solving the problems of the world," and one busy morning when the cook didn't show and I was running late getting the kitchen prepped he bandaged up the finger that I carelessly cut while rushing. He always called me "Boss" and much of the time I called him "Chief". I'll never forget him.
